Ummm... I need some words... just what are these??It's my first Silent Sunday, so 'Hello' :)
Hello! Welcome to my Silent Sunday and delighted to have someone new to visit. Mine is of giant wooden knitting needles which I snapped at the Country Living Fair in Glasgow yesterday. Big Knitting seemed to be very popular and I couldn't resist this basket of colourful needles.
Interesting, I'd love to know what you're going to make with them
Thank you - friends bought some Big Knitting accessories at the Country Living Fair and have apparently already made a cosy hot water bottle cover in no time at all. I can't knit at all though the giant size of big knitting made it seem much easier.
Lovely and colourful but, what are they?
They're big knitting needles for big knitting! Saw them at the Country Living Fair and couldn't resist taking a photo! Helen

I'm with everyone else. Can you give us a clue? ;)
There are a few correct guesses here - they are in fact big knitting needles!
Interesting photo x
Thanks Kim - We had a great day out at the Country Living Christmas Fair and one of the stands was Ingrid Wagner who specialises in Big Knitting!
You're right - well done! See comment above for more info. :)
I was wondering if these are knitting needles too! Curious!
Your wonderings are right - Big Knitting Needles! Made me think of giants. :)
I think they are some form of knitting needle, especially made to be used for the fabrics that are shown! :)
Spot on! These were on sale at the Country Living Christmas Fair - such fun!
So colourful. Now we have to wait for a future #SilentSunday for you to show us what you did with them :)
Thank you for visiting - I also had a picture of giant balls of yarn and couldn't decide which one to put up!
Very envious of a day at the Country Living Christmas Fair... haven't you got more photos to share, I'd love to see them. Julie x
It was a lovely day Julie - I'm afraid I haven't got many photos at all as just had my phone with me and it picked that day to die on me. It's now off to Vodafone and I'm awaiting replacement! You can see all the big knitting things here though http://ingridwagner.com/interior-textiles-painting/big-knitting-big-crochet
Wow, they're great needles! I'm hopeless at knitting and really slow, but perhaps even I could get somewhere with these!! x
That's what I thought too - I'm going to have a go!
I'm glad there are people much cleverer than me that knew what they were, I didn't have a clue, but in all fairness I was so blown away by your header it was hard to concentrate, what a beautiful shot that is!
Giant knitting needles! How fab, looks like they'll be great fun. Love the blog :)
